Hope and Inspiration

Hi! I forgot to put an update for last week so I suppose I should start there. I saw Superman the Saturday after it came out, and its safe to say that its the film of the summer, that it's an amazing movie that I LOVE! I'm a huge dc fans and it was great to see him and other Superman adjancent character protrayed so accurately. It's not without flaw, obviously, but for the two times I've seen it I've left the theater with a smile on nmy face while enjoying every second on screen. I might write something about it separately, but all you need to know that it is such a great movie and if you haven't seen it, and maybe even need a little pick me up, Superman is the film for that. I went to go see this film with my friends, so hanging out with them afterwards was fun. We spent awhile in awe of the film and just talking about it and our thoughts. We later went to get something to eat and then the lego store. I was going to buy like a 10 dollar lego regardless, but my friend wanted this 40 dollar set, so I decided to get a 40 dollar set as well so she wouldn't feel bad (not like I needed much convincing anyways). The rest of the week went much the same-was home, drew and wrote some. I had to figure out my classes for the school year so that was my main focus, but they were pretty easy to figure out-I just need to hope that I get the classes I want. I spent yesterday with my family-we went out to eat and then went shopping since I needed to buy some skincare products cause I ran out, and my mom needed clothes. Today I went to a zine fest in my city. For one, I saw some friends there I hadn't seen in awhile, and two, tt was really fun and inspiring, so I need whatever creative high I'm not to last enough for me to set up a ko-fi and redbubble, and figure out how to print some of my art. I also learned a bit more about zines, so I hope to make some over the summer that I can start giving out. It was also a smaller art event, so I hope to table at something like that next year or maybe sooner, since their event dates don't seem to just be annually based on what my friend said. That's all for now, but getting back to journal makes me feel better-I regressed a bit this week in my attempt to becomes less addicted to my phone, and by trying to have the time I do have in front of a screen involve some creation, whether it be digital art, writing, or working on this site, but I feel back into my old tiktok doomscrolling ways. It just makes me feel bad because I would prefer to be making something other than just scrolling endlessly. Going to try to be better about that next week. I suppose that is all! TA TA FOR NOW!
