History

I first discovered Creepypasta through gameplay videos of Slender: The Eight Pages and that photo of Jeff the Killer. This was probably some time before middle school. I would listen to a couple of readings on Youtube, but I wasn’t too into the fandom.
I fell out of Creepypasta after that, until I rediscovered it in middle school, but this was a different side of it. I saw fanart of the most popular characters as anime boys on Pinterest, and found stories of these characters on Wattpad and Quotev, where the plot revolved around the Reader finding the Slendermansion, becoming a proxy, and falling in love with these cute serial killers.
I immediately fell in love with this concept, and would proceed to spend all my days after school looking at fanart, reading fanfictions, boyfriend scenarios, watching Jordan Persegati videos, and taking quizzes about which Creepypasta character would date me. Though I didn’t really write much fanfiction (I was too embarrassed to) and didn’t draw much fanart (I didn’t know how to draw guys) I did make OCs, and I consider this to be my first fandom.
I then went through that one phase where I considered all Creepypasta fangirls “cringe” and stepped away from the fanart and fanfiction, moving onto Slenderverse, which I viewed as the more “grown up” version of what I liked previously. I obviously didn’t move on completely, however, as I dipped in and out of the fandom, with multiple ideas for various comics, which I eventually combined into this project I hope to complete one day.
I created the main characters/my OCs (a term I apply very loosely) for this story out of ironic fun. I left my creepypasta fangirl ways behind me, but there were interpretations of certain characters, two in particular, that I still found somewhat funny, so I would draw them for fun, telling myself it was ironic.
It very quickly became unironic as I developed their personalities, their backstories, and their relationship. I did most of this during my freshman year of high school, the year middle school I thought she would discover the Slendermansion, and also, during COVID lockdown. I projected a lot myself onto these characters, so the characters people refer to as “twink Masky and Hoodie,” characters I didn’t like much during my fangirl days, characters I hated when I discovered Marble Hornets, soon became my favorites. I know they’re not mine, they’re bastardizations of pre-existing characters, but they feel like mine, and I knew they were perfect for this project-my love letter to creepypasta fan content of old. Please follow me as I indulge in everything middle school me would have wanted.

Updates

Please note that this is a project that I am doing for fun, so when it comes to comic pages, art, character rewrite notes, etc., I will be working at my own pace both because I need to prioritize my schoolwork, my original comic (at least I’m trying to), and because I’m doing this fan stuff alongside the projects I have for other fandoms I am involved in. I’m also mainly doing this work as a way to practice drawing comic panels.
I’m currently working on the pages for the first chapter of this story, which will be posted on my other socials (would probably be best to read on tumblr) BUT I’m going to try to post them here (if I don’t have the space I may have to become a supporter :D).
I also decided to write out the chapters of my stories alongside still drawing the comic because 1. that's quicker and 2. I apparently hate myself. Written version of chapter one to be posted shortly

For now, go back home.
